Tart with strawberry jam



  • 400 gr of flour
  • 200 gr of sugar
  • 200 gr of butter
  • 2 fresh eggs
  • rind of half a lemon
  • 220 gr of strawberry’s jam
  • half a glass of maraschino liqueur
  • a pinch of salt


Put the flour in a fountain on the pastry, add the sugar and the pich of salt, the butter and mix in a good way in order to amalgamate the ingredients.

Form a hollow in the dough to add eggs and knead quickly. Leave to rest for a few minutes.

Pour the strawberry’s jam into a container and add the maraschino liqueur (or, alternatively some water) in order to make it fluider and make sure it does not dry out too much during the cooking.

Grease and flour a baking dish of diameter 22.

Spread the dough with a rolling pin until it becomes ½ cm of thickness and cut out a disc in diameter slightly larger than the pan.

Put it into the pan and crush the dough on the edges in order to make it stick to contain in a good way the jam.

Level the jam with a spoon into the shortcrust and move on to preparing pasta strips. With the dough advanced by the cutout of the base, form strips to place over the jam to form the classic tart grill.

Heat the oven to 180 ° and bake the cake for about 40 minutes.

After cooking let the tart cool to room temperature and serve on the table.
